Occupational Therapy
Services
1
Ongoing Occupational Therapy
Ongoing OT provides ongoing support for children who benefit from regular therapy to build confidence and independence. Sessions are tailored to each child’s goals, such as participation in play, school, routines, and friendships. We partner with families to create meaningful change over time, celebrating progress along the way.
2
Short Term Occupational Therapy
Short-term OT is designed for families who need just a few sessions for guidance, assessment, or to address a specific concern. It usually involves 2–3 sessions, with a written report provided if required. This option is ideal when families are looking for clarity around school supports, development, or next steps.
3
Functional Capacity Assessments
Our Functional Capacity Assessments give a detailed picture of your child’s abilities and needs across daily life. These assessments are often used to support NDIS planning and reviews, with a comprehensive report included. We take care to ensure assessments are family-centred and highlight both strengths and support needs.

What is
Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapists (OTs) work with children and their families to take part in the activities that matter most in everyday life. This looks different for every child, and our OTs deeply respect each child’s individuality — including our neurodivergent children and families. We focus on goals that are meaningful, using each child’s interests and strengths as a starting point.

How We Can Help
Together with families, our OTs support children to:
-
Build joyful play and social interaction skills.
-
Develop fine and gross motor skills (e.g. handwriting, coordination, balance).
-
Strengthen participation in self-care routines such as mealtimes, dressing, and toileting.
-
Understand and manage emotions and energy (regulation and interoception).
-
Support learning, focus, and attention.
-
Navigate sensory processing differences and feel safe in different environments.
-
Identify and advocate for the right accommodations and supports at home, school, and in the community.

Working as a Team
Our Occupational Therapists collaborate closely with other early intervention professionals, including Speech Pathologists and Psychologists, to make sure children receive holistic support.
